Normal cell in negative UroVysion FISH test. Note two copies (signals) each of chromosome (Ch) 3 (CEP 3, Red), Ch 7 (CEP 7, Green), Ch 17 (CEP 17, Aqua), and locus specific probe for 9p21 (site of p16; LSI 9p21, Gold).

Abnormal cell in positive UroVysion FISH test. Polysomy is clearly demonstrated, with five copies of Ch 3 (CEP 3, Red), three copies of Ch 7 (CEP 7, Green), and four copies of Ch 17 (CEP 17, Aqua). Loss of one copy of 9p21 is also noted (LSI 9p21, Gold).
